"We give honest answers. If it's a small fix you can handle yourself, we'll tell you. If it needs us, we'll explain why."
Mold doesn't always look like the black spots people picture. Sometimes it's a smell. Sometimes it's a pattern of allergies that won't quit. Here's what to watch for.
Black, green, white, or fuzzy patches on walls, ceilings, or in corners
Earthy, damp odor that doesn't go away with cleaning
Any leak, flood, or moisture event in the last 30+ days
Worsening allergies, congestion, or asthma in the home
Brown, yellow, or green stains forming on walls or ceilings
Mold inspections often required for real estate transactions
Most mold companies want to sell you a remediation job no matter what. We don't work that way. The owner comes out personally to do a visual inspection for free, and tells you straight what we see. If the situation is small enough that you can clean it yourself with bleach and a fan, we'll tell you that. If it needs professional remediation, we'll explain why and walk you through what the job looks like. And if the situation is beyond a visual inspection, if it's behind walls, in HVAC systems, or you need formal air quality testing for a real estate transaction or insurance claim, we bring in our partnered industrial hygienist for proper testing. We've been in this business 14 years and we've built our reputation on telling people the truth, even when the truth is "you don't actually need us."
"If we can see it, we'll take the job. If it needs deeper testing, we bring in our hygienist partner."
Owner comes out, looks at the situation, gives you an honest assessment.
We seal off the affected area with plastic barriers and negative air pressure.
Remove contaminated materials and clean salvageable surfaces with antimicrobials.
Identify and address the moisture source so mold doesn't come back.
Final cleaning, air filtration, and post-remediation testing when needed.
A visual inspection works for most situations. You can see mold or you can't. But sometimes the situation calls for more. If mold might be behind walls, in HVAC ductwork, or in places we can't easily see, we bring in our partnered industrial hygienist for proper testing. The hygienist takes air samples, surface samples, and uses specialized equipment to detect what visual inspection can't. This is especially important for: real estate transactions where buyers need formal mold reports, insurance claims requiring documentation, and situations where someone in the home has serious health concerns potentially related to mold exposure.
Mold loves water damage. Spores can begin growing within 24–48 hours of any water event like burst pipe, basement flood, sewage backup, roof leak, even a slow drip behind a wall. If you've had water damage in the last few weeks and now you're noticing musty smells, allergy symptoms, or discoloration, that's not a coincidence. The good news: when mold is caught early after water damage, remediation is faster and less expensive. We handle both water damage restoration and mold remediation, so we can address the moisture and the mold in one coordinated job.
A small spot of mold on bathroom grout? Bleach and a fan, you're fine. But once mold has spread beyond a small surface area, typically more than 10 square feet per EPA guidelines, DIY cleanup can actually make things worse. Disturbing mold without proper containment releases spores into the air, where they spread to other parts of the home and can cause health problems for sensitive individuals. Professional remediation uses containment barriers, negative air pressure, HEPA filtration, and PPE to remove mold safely without contaminating the rest of your home.
Plastic barriers and negative air pressure prevent spore spread
Captures airborne spores during the job
Crew is protected, and your home is protected
